This video is some highlights of Grandmaster Taejoon Lee performing Gumtoogi Techniques.

This dynamic weapon fighting method is unique to Hwa Rang Do. This new opportunity for weapon fighting owes much to Grandmaster Taejoon Lees groundbreaking invention of the Hache Hogu (Leg Protector) armor, as an attachment to traditional Kumdo & Kendo body armor, which allows legal strikes to legs for points as well as implementing rotational strikes.

Gumtoogi is also the only Sword Fighting System that matches competitors with different sword types against each other; from long swords, short swords, twin swords, and hundreds of other weapon combinations.

Bongtoogi is also the only Weapon Fighting System that matches competitors with different stick types against each other; from the long staff, short staff, double sticks, and hundreds of other weapon combinations.
